Art Start

Art Start

This is one of my favorite photos of all time. That's son Judd, now 41, and the granddaughter of renowned folk artist Emma Lee Moss. Forgive me! I cannot recall her name. That's me pretending to be a potter.

We lived at the Old Chicken Farm Art Center in San Angelo, TX in the mid 80s. The OCFAC is an art oasis wrought from thin air by late famed potterRoger Allen. It has undergone evolution, and remains a vibrant expression of living art, literally and figuratively.

We published an alternative newspaper at the time. We had a softball trophy in the office awaiting photos with the team. Judd, age 4, came in and exclaimed: "Daddy! What a beautiful sculpture!"
